Do you provide catering or allow outside caterers?
The Aqua Turf does offer off-premise catering to the destination of your choice. We do allow an ethnic caterer (such as Indian or Portuguese) to come in as long as they are licensed and insured and approved by the Aqua Turf Club.
Do you allow candles?
Yes, votive and floating candles are okay to use. If you choose to use taper or pillar candles you do need a “glass chimney” around the candle.
Is there someone that will help me coordinate all the details of my wedding and be with me the day of?
Yes! The knowledgeable office staff will be happy to help coordinate all the details for your special day. You’ll work with the staff in the office up until two days before your wedding when you'll finalize all of the details. Then on the day of your wedding, you will be assigned a maître d' who will coordinate everything between you and your vendors to ensure a flawless day.
Are there any restrictions on decorating?
Yes: we do not allow any confetti or glitter sprinkled on the tables. All decorations should be approved by the Aqua Turf Club.
Is there an option for a tent outside?
No, not on Aqua Turf property. However, we can provide off-premises catering for your event if you are looking to have an outdoor function.
Do you host ceremonies on site? If so, is there a separate location from the reception area?
Yes, we host many ceremonies in the Chapel in the Pines, a beautiful, nondenominational, New England-style chapel that can accommodate up to 240 guests; it is air conditioned as well as heated for year-round use. Are there any restrictions on throwing rice or other items?
Yes: we do not allow rice, birdseed, grass seed, confetti, or anything of that nature thrown. Bubbles are allowed to be used outdoors only.
Does the Aqua Turf provide items such as linens, chairs, etc.?
Yes, we provide all the linens, chairs, tables, china, silver and lantern centerpieces. Chair covers are also included in two of our packages or can be purchased separately.
How long am I allowed to host our event?
Rental time is based on 5 ½ hours. Additional time may be purchased.
How long can the entertainment perform?
Entertainment is allowed to perform the entire time of the function. Because the Aqua Turf Club wishes everyone to be served a hot meal, we do not recommend dancing during dinner.
How many toasts to the Bride and Groom are normally made?
Usually the Best Man is the one person who makes the toast to the newlyweds. If additional toasts will be made, we strongly suggest making them after the first course has been served. The more your guests would like to say to the couple or about the couple, the later your dinner is served and the less time you have for dancing!
Our wedding at the Aqua Turf was exceptional. There was never a stressful moment at all when planning because the staff is so experienced and nothing seems to bother them. I cannot even tell you how many guests kept saying over and over, “This is the best wedding we have ever attended.” The service was fantastic, as was the food. Everything went off without a hitch.
